Tax to Prevent Obesity

The campaign against pop consumption is a very effective advert as it is a video. It is effective by the use of graphics which provides the text and tells a person that by drinking one pop a day, every day, can add weight. Although they do not show that fat content that comes from low-fat milk, this will make you think that pop has more fat when you drink it. They allude that pop has more fat by showing the weight gain by throwing fat down on the screen. In the video by drinking a pop a day in one year, does make people feel disgusted as to how much fat they drink through this insinuation.

I do not think our nation is having an epidemic with obesity because at schools everyone has to exercise. The video brings me to feel that drinking pop once, everyday can make one put on a lot of weight and one should follow the recommendations such as drinking water and low fat milk, which we saw at the end of the advert where the person was smiling and looking healthier by drinking healthier options. The tax on pop will not occur in Canada because Canadians like drinking pop, but disbelieve the advert. This tax on pop is controversial for all Canadians, as I would still pay a large sum of money for pop or even chips, but then again, I only buy once in a while during the month.
