The exaggeration of the media

I feel that the Dove Campaign for real beauty is a good campaign to show the public to be aware of how the media bombards us everyday, portraying how women should look like. The Dove Campaign helps women to understand that they are naturally beautiful themselves. Since this is done, it brings women's self esteem up. Buying Dove products is a good choice for the public, because the public knows that the Dove Campaign is trying to educate women that they are naturally beautiful.

I find the Axe Effect Campaign is a funny advert because it portrays that when a man sprays Axe, any woman will go and run after the man(which we all know that does not really happen) which is how the advert is presented. I think that it is a very effective campaign because one remembers the product very well, and that is exactly what the advertisers want.

The parent company(Unilever) does not have to be responsible for ensuring the same values and beliefs to their children company, because if the parent company had to, the parent company would not have formed their children company so that they could sell different products as their parent company.

  1. Is it just women that they are trying to educate?

  2. I think the Dove Campaign is a very helpful campaign since they raise the self-esteem of people, but it mostly directed to females since they are more open about their insecurities. Axe does create funny advertisements and they are obviously surreal. Our points contrast, when you say the parent company (unilever) are not responsible for conflicting views because who wants a company with corrupted and conflicting opinions. I agree with you on the most part except this minor feud!!!
